Iron Forest Building Co. is a company of carpenters, builders, and craftsmen who are dedicated to making your construction project efficient and enjoyable. We know from experience that when you’re building in the Rocky Mountains there are countless details, design decisions, and processes to go through to get the job done correctly. Let us carry that burden for you.
On the weekends, John can be found skiing the backcountry, fly fishing in the Blue River, or hanging out with his family of 6.
When not working, you can find Paul enjoying time with his family of 5, long distance running on mountain trails, or on a bike.
Kyle was raised in Summit County working in the construction industry. He attended CSU and acquired a degree in Construction Management and began his career in the residential construction industry on the front range. Shortly thereafter, Kyle decided he missed the mountains and made the move back where he has been working in the custom home world ever since.
Austin grew up in Tennessee where he began his construction career straight out of college from MTSU. Austin has been building in Summit County for 5 years since moving to Colorado.
When not working, Austin enjoys traveling around the world, snowboarding, and riding dirt bikes.
Rob grew up in New Hampshire working in the building industry starting in High School before switching to Lift Maintenance shortly after moving to Summit County. Bringing a mix of hands-on construction skills and (often) a killer mustache, Rob helps keep our projects flowing smoothly.
When not working, Rob enjoys making custom skateboard decks, skating, and enjoying time with his wife, daughter, and a small slew of pets.
Our partners help keep the wheels on and progress moving on our projects and often extends beyond the definitions of traditional employees. While we are always searching for new skilled trades to work on our homes, we also have developed a strong network of dependable, highly skilled, and trustworthy tradesmen in our local community.
We don’t do our jobs for traditional accolades or publicity. We try our best on every project because that is the kind of people that we are. While sometimes the awards do come naturally, quality relationships with our clients is our continued pursuit. Just ask around the local community about our reputation or even give our previous clients a call!

Regardless of where you are in your construction planning, we’d love to help guide you early on to make sure that your design, budget, and end product goal is all in line. Even from the point of looking for land, we have seen a huge value in getting involved earlier. No commitment necessary.
